Orignal Landscape Paintings and Mountain Art by Sandra Hugill

Commissions

I am happy to paint commissions, so why not commission a painting of your favourite mountain landscape area in the UK if you cannot find the painting that you are looking for, please contact me to discuss this. First take a look at some of my art work of The Scottish Highlands, The Lake District or Snowdonia.

Prices would vary, depending on the size and medium you require. As an example, if you chose one of my standard sizes up to 450mm x 300mm, using one of my usual materials, then the price would be the same as my current gallery range.

For my watercolours I currently use Winsor and Newton and Daler Rowney professional paints, with my favourite paper for the mountain landscapes being Cuthbert’s Mill Saunders High White with a rough surface.

Oils and Acrylic paintings can be done on various surfaces. I currently use Hahnemule prepared paper, but if you prefer, canvas boards and stretched canvas are also available (prices may vary for these products). The latter come in various sizes and quality.

Ben Nevis commissions oil painting

Time scales are also important, as watercolours can be finished relatively quickly, but oil paintings need time to dry. I use Winsor and Newton Alkyd quick drying oils and these will take up to 1 month to be ready for despatch, as will acrylics. Other oils will take considerably longer to dry.

When you have decided to go ahead with your special painting, I will also require a small deposit. As the work progresses I will send you updates and you can of course request alterations to the work at this time. On completion I will send photos of the work for your approval and payment. on payment the work will be despatched.

Please note the full service is only available to customers based in the UK.
