Torridon an area of striking sandstone mountains topped by glistening quartzite caps, captured in my Torridon paintings. The landscape paintings on this page are in Acrylics and are of Liathach and Beinn Eighe. Loch Clair is a great vantage point to sketch the mountains as they rise above the glen. I have tried to capture the silver slopes of Beinn Eighe as the quartz sparkles in the autumn sun. Rising proudly above Glen Torridon, Liathach sandstone terraces and buttresses seem inaccessible.
Recently added to this collection is a landscape watercolour painting of Slioch across Loch Maree, on a day when the mists swirl around the peak and into the gullies.
