My mountain art gallery of Glencoe Paintings includes The Buachaille Etive Mor in watercolours, Pap of Glencoe Across Loch Leven painted in Oils, watercolour paintings of The Three Sisters of Glencoe and the autumnal painting from the Glencoe Lochan and an Acrylic Painting of Loch Leven and Glencoe.
I love painting the light conditions at the margins of the day, and I have been lucky to see some of nature’s wonders whilst I have been out walking in the mountains here.
The glen is U-shaped, formed by an ice age glacier, about 12.5 km (7.8 mi) long with the floor of the glen being less than 700 metres (0.43 mi) wide, narrowing sharply at the “Pass of Glen Coe. It is flanked on both sides by majestic soaring mountains with craggy ridges and sharp pinnacles. The glen attracts lots of moody weather and makes it great to paint. These sentinels of the glen are a climbers and walkers paradise and I get drawn to painting their rugged ridges and corries. I am always adding paintings to my gallery as I complete them, so please pop back and see what’s new.
