Ullswater and Helvellyn Paintings
Welcome to my gallery of Helvellyn, Ullswater Paintings. I love painting the lakes and mountains of my native land, and fondly remember my days out visiting and walking the mountains of The Lake District – in particular the many routes to the summits of Helvellyn and Fairfield. Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District and is flanked by the spectacular mountains of Helvellyn, with Fairfield, Red Screes to High Street at the head of the lake. The villages of Glenridding and Patterdale are favourite starting points to climb these mountains. From Patterdale you can also climb to Place Fell for a magnificent panoramic view across the lake to the high peaks and return vai the Lake side path from Howtown.
Ullswater is a magical lake with so many views to see and paint from mountains to lake side vistas. I have painted in oils, acrylics and expressive watercolours. My Ullswater mountain art collection includes the areas of Striding Edge, Helvellyn in both summer and winter conditions and Waterfoot boat houses that feature along the Ullswater shoreline. NEW addition to my Lake District gallery is an oil painting of The Head of Ullswater looking towards the Kirkstone Pass and Brotherswater from Glenridding – High Street on the left and Arnison Crag and Birks the outliers of The Fairfield Horseshoe on the right.
