Highland Art is a collection of Brusho or Mixed Media Paintings, used to create Scottish Highland Landscapes, floral representations of the flowers of The Machair, Highland Crofts and Castles.
A new Hebridean Machair Summer flowers painting has now been added to this gallery, I have used St Cuthbert’s Mill Saunders Waterford rough paper for this, to increase the texture. A new idea is paint more crofts and I am now adding these to this gallery.
Whilst out walking in the Great Glen I see lots of thistles and no Highland Art page would be complete without at least one painting of this colourful summer flower. The fuschia pink of the blooms contrast perfectly with the greens of the grasses and hillsides.
